Noticeboard

Special notice – it is with great sadness that we report that our colleague and dear friend Bernard Dungworth passed away on the 21st June.
Here is a special message from our Chair Louise sage .
Hi everyone,
I write to share some very sad news, our dear friend Bernard passed away this morning (June 21st) in Scarborough hospital.
He had been very poorly all week and his son Stephen and nephew were with him.
Let’s take a moment to remember as a founder member of our club what a strong character Bernard was and
his amazing contribution to the club for over 33 years. He worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise
entertainment, prepare quizzes, organise Bingo and seek funding grants to give us all subsidised trips.
He also processed all the annual membership forms and supported the club financial management.
He will be sorely missed by all the committee, for his wealth of experience, memories of bygone times and
support in all our new initiatives.
Truly one of a kind, rest in peace dear Bernard.
Kind regards Louise
