Ten Pin Bowling

Our Ten pin bowling group actually pre-dates the Over 50s club.

Our wider social club was actually birthed from this small band of Ten pin bowlers over 30 years ago.

Some hard-working volunteers back then set up a group for seniors to Ten pin bowl, and within a short period they began to organise group lunches, walks, day-trips – and so the Over 50s club was born!

Exact numbers vary, naturally, but we are usually around the 150 member mark now, and all of this down to a small and dedicated group all those years ago. We owe it all to them.

A growing club

New comers always very welcome.

Ten pin bowling is a great to get and keep moving, and of course making new friends!

Friendly Competition We keep the scores for everyone, and prizes are awarded twice a year for the winners. It certainly keeps everyone motivated!

We are also planning “away-days” for our members fun trips to visit other alleys, all subsidised by the club. What’s not to like?

Join us on the lanes

We just ask that members follow the standard etiquette for Ten pin bowling. The rules are available at the bowling alley, so there is no need to worry. Just come on down!

A huge thank you to our lovely Jenny for all her hard work keeping those lanes busy. (I’ve told her I think we should rename the group – Jen pin bowling!) Thanks Jen.

Got any questions don’t hesitate to contact us. Look forward to seeing you down on the lanes!
